It isn't enough to have good intentions. We make choices everyday that effect the health of our world and the world we'll pass on to our children. At Euphora our family business is uniquely suited to tread lightly on the environment.
We run our business from our home, so at least some of us never have to commute. We eat in the kitchen downstairs, which minimizes waist and allows us to eat local foods as much as posible. Our desk is placed by one sunny window to take advantage of natural lighting and Mary is a devotee of natural breezes over air conditioning anyday.
We love to reuse paper, shipping boxes and packing material - in fact we've never purchased packing filler for the business, ever! Plus, many of our larger products ship directly from the manufacturers, which eliminates wasting resources (like gas) from carting crib mattresses and artwork to and from Euphoria itself. Our entire store is cataloged online and we do not produce printed catalogs or brochures to avoid paper waste.
