Naturepedic's crib mattress pad is made with soft, luxurious certifide organic cotton. It's a safe, "green" alternative to the pvc/vinyl mattress pads sold in most stores.
This fitted mattress pad features an Ultra-Thin Waterproof Membrane in the center. Naturepedic's DrySleep™ technology, effectively blocks liquids from passing through while still allowing the fabric to “breathe.” Some water vapor is allowed to escape resulting in less “sweaty backs” and a drier, more comfortable sleep. The waterproof membrane also blocks dust-mites and other allergens. Machine washable. Phthalates-free. 28" x 52" and fits 6" deep mattress - standard crib size.
Place it under the sheet for baby's comfort and easy clean-up! Designed elasticized corners hold it snug to the mattress just like a fitted crib sheet. Latex free for allergy concerns. Final Sale Item.
What's wrong with typical mattress pads
Most mattress pads are made with pvd/vinyl as a waterproofing layer. Vinyl/PVC is largely regarded as one of the most toxic plastics in use today. It also poses numerous environmental concerns. Mattress covers made from vinyl/PVC contain many chemical additives such as phthalates, antimony, and various biocides which are released over time.
